i keep losing things but i will keep all of this forever
inkjet prints, family archive, velvet, waxed thread
i keep losing things but i will keep this all forever is a small edition artist book  inspired by Catholic and pagan pocket shrines. The contents pass through the walls of my grandmothers home in North Carolina that she owned since the early 70s and was recently emptied and sold. I use this book to encapsulate and preserve pieces of the house I cannot physically take, from materiality like wallpaper and beds to memories and emotions that are embedded in the foundation. Sprawled over the pages is a stream of consciousness text, a letter to the house and its former inhabitants.
Editon of five, each hand constructed and sewn, fastened by velvet trim.
